Find a celebrant

Get quotes from Yarra Valley celebrants

Three short steps. We share your enquiry with up to three authorised celebrants who work the valley. You choose who you talk to.

A valley setting does not marry you. An authorised celebrant does, after a Notice of Intended Marriage is given at least one month and no more than 18 months before the wedding. Use this form if you want celebrants to come to you. Check anyone you meet on the official register.

What happens after you send it

Your enquiry arrives by email. We read it, check it looks like a real ceremony request, and pass it to up to three celebrants who say they work the area you chose. Those celebrants may pay this site to receive enquiries. They contact you by the method you picked, usually by email first. You do not have to reply to any of them, and you do not have to book anyone.

We do not publish your names, your message or your date on the website. We do not add you to a newsletter. If you change your mind before we have passed the enquiry on, email us and we will not send it. The privacy page explains what we keep and for how long.

What makes an enquiry easy to answer

Celebrants answer fastest when they can see the shape of the day in one read. A date, or an honest note that the date is not set yet, comes first. Then the town or venue area, because travel and weather plans change between a Healesville courtyard, a Yarra Glen lawn and a Warburton riverbank. A guest range tells them whether you need a microphone, a second rehearsal, or just two witnesses.

The ceremony style matters more than the budget band. Tell them if this is a legal marriage, a vow renewal, an elopement or a ceremony with cultural or religious parts. Use the message box for anything that would change their answer: a parent who uses a wheelchair, a reading in another language, a surprise element, or a hard finish time set by your venue.

Before you book anyone

Whoever you choose, check their name on the Attorney-General’s Department find a marriage celebrant page and its register search, and ask what is included in their fee in writing. If you are legally marrying, the notice still needs to reach that celebrant at least one month and no more than 18 months before the day.
