Wellers of Kangaroo Ground is a beautiful homestead style rustic reception venue in the heart of Kangaroo Ground.

It has evolved from being Wellers Hotel in 1872, to being a temperance hotel at the turn of the century, to being a rundown farmhouse for much of the twentieth century, to then becoming a restored and extended restaurant, bar and entertainment venue. It is weddings, however, that are our key speciality.

Our packages and prices are flexible to cater for your personal requirements. For example, we can cater for a private sit-down reception for 20 people or a large cocktail-style reception for up to 200 people.

Wellers is family owned and managed and is dedicated to providing personalised service. Our Dedicated Wedding Coordinator & Executive Chef work closely with each couple to know just what is required to make sure your day is just as you desire.

My philosophy for ‘Cake Face’ is to make captivating cakes using beautiful ingredients.

Each cake should be a surprise. The first surprise should be how it looks;  the second should be how good it tastes!

Whether it’s a simple white cake with beautiful sugar roses or a 1920s Hollywood themed cake, I design, bake and decorate each cake specifically for you.

I make my cakes from scratch in my registered kitchen. Ingredients used include: pure butter, free range eggs, fresh fruits and European chocolate, so my cakes taste as enticing as they look.

It didn’t stop raining all day for Andrew and Kirsty so the wedding was scheduled for inside the enormous barn. Kirsty had a beautiful gown with a simple adornment of soft grey velvet ribbon at her waist. The boys wore gym shoes and at one stage the bride donned her red gumboots!
